About python : Segmentation-fault-core-dumped-when-installing-miniconda-on-RHEL8

Question Detail

I am trying to install miniconda on my RHEL8 machine.

I have am using this version here and have the Miniconda3-py39_4.12.0-Linux-x86_64.sh in my local path.

curl -O https://repo.anaconda.com/miniconda/Miniconda3-py39_4.12.0-Linux-x86_64.sh

And then I am trying to do a silent install in a directory I made called /opt/python/miniconda/

bash Miniconda3-py39_4.12.0-Linux-x86_64.sh -bp /opt/python/miniconda/

Although I am receiving the following error

Unpacking payload ...
Miniconda3-py39_4.12.0-Linux-x86_64.sh: line 412: 432775 Exit 141                { dd if="$THIS_PATH" bs=1 skip=15242500 count=11004 2> /dev/null; dd if="$THIS_PATH" bs=16384 skip=931 count=4820 2> /dev/null; dd if="$THIS_PATH" bs=1 skip=94224384 count=11538 2> /dev/null; }
     432776 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) | "$CONDA_EXEC" constructor --extract-tar --prefix "$PREFIX"
Miniconda3-py39_4.12.0-Linux-x86_64.sh: line 414: 432784 Segmentation fault      (core dumped) "$CONDA_EXEC" constructor --prefix "$PREFIX" --extract-conda-pkgs

I have already tried making a TMPDIR like this other question has recommended. conda.exe: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1

Any thoughts or guidance is appreciated.
